There are a few common reasons that your robot is doing wheelies in the pool, and no, one of them is not because it wants to be like our F1 race car...
Depending on the type of robot that you have, you could experience this for different reasons.
- Cosmy Line
- If you have a Cosmy bot, the robot could be doing wheelies to release trapped air. This is common and it will correct itself on its own once all the air is gone. This will most likely occur toward the beginning of a new cycle after you've placed the bot in the pool.
- Another reason the Cosmy might do a wheelie is if it thinks there is a wall. This doesn't occur too often, but is known to happen. It might go the whole length of the pool in a wheelie, but once it hits a real wall, it will correct itself.
- X4 or 4WD
- If your robot has wheels such as the X4 or 4WD, it could be that there is too much float in the robot. Please refer to your user manual on how to remove a portion of the float.
